Update Rad Rails

RadRails 0.6.1 is out – Time to update!

Let’s use the Eclipse update to get the job done quickly and easily.

Go to Help/Software updates/Find and Install from the menu. When the dialog opens, click on ”Search for new updates to install” and not “Search for updates of the currently installed features” :

Hit the Next button, then select the Rad Rails update site:

Hit Finish. Then select the offered Rad Rails features to install, with “Show the latest version of a feature” selected:

Hit Next again:

Hit Next to accept the license agreement:

And hit Finish to go on through to a very quick update.

Hey, where are my servers????

After the process is complete, the servers that were created at the time of project creation will be gone, as part of the update process. But NOT TO WORRY! You can delete and create new WEBrick servers for projects at any time! Just right-click on the project name in the Rails Navigator; a dialog comes up in which you can even edit the server details (in case you have a bunch of bookmarks to a specific port) then hit finish and you’re all set. No need to
create a project to create a server.
