Question: How do you install instiki or any other rails app on a subdomain?

Answer:

I followed the Rails Playground instructions”, which worked fine here on Site5.
I did the following:
  1. I went into C-Panel and deleted the offending subdomain.
  2. I deleted the symbolic link that wasn’t working.
  3. Starting fresh, I went into C-Panel and made a new subdomain.
  4. In my SSH shell I deleted the sub-directory created by C-Panel.
  5. I performed the following command:
    awebfact@awebfactory.com.ar [~/public_html]# ln -s ~/rorapps/instiki-ar/public ~/public_html/wiki
awebfact@awebfactory.com.ar [~]# cd ~/public_html/
  6. Voilá! I’m here!
